The situation

The client's customer portals had reached the end of their technical lifecycle and no longer met evolving needs. A full renewal was required — along with a more customer-centric approach to how solutions were designed.

What we did

Digital Rebel took full responsibility for the end-to-end portal concept across multiple customer segments — from initial discovery through validated requirements. We led stakeholder engagement across business units, mapped customer journeys, and identified the key needs and pain points that the new portal needed to address. We created the first interactive prototype early in the process, aligning it with enterprise architecture constraints from the start. The prototype served as both a design artifact and a storytelling tool — we used it in customer interviews to gather concrete feedback, validate assumptions, and iterate the concept based on real user reactions. After multiple iteration rounds, we finalized the concept and requirements package for handover to detailed design and implementation. Throughout the process, progress was communicated across the organization through regular demos, stakeholder updates, and cross-functional reviews — ensuring broad alignment and reducing risk before committing to full-scale development.
